Discovery and Planning ahead

Some months ago I was cleaning the inside of my car, not a frequent occupation, and emptied the passenger side pocket and found a zinc printing plate I had last used on Art Foundation 4 years ago Birmingham City University, previously based at the wonderful Bournville. This discovery led forward and in a way backwards to a whole new area of drawing and therefore printing work at Sandra Porter’s studio http://www.sandraporter.com/ to transform the work I did previously from drawings of folks clearing the River Brue at Bruton last summer. Since I’d just completed that set the timing was both serendipitous and inspiring

So what now with plans for a solo exhibition at http://www.bluecedarprintworks.co.uk/ in Glastonbury, from, wait for it Friday September 13th! into mid October. I’m planning for the show mainly to be of print, with a couple of humorous and quirky drawings called chicken and the 2nd renamed by a friend’s granddaughter ‘the duck going down the river’.
